Christmas with Paramount Brass

Based in Asia, the Paramount Brass is hailed for its superb musicianship and outstanding rapport with audiences worldwide. Grand Prizewinner of the 1992 New York Brass Conference Brass Quintet Competition, the ensemble has appeared on many of the world’s most prestigious stages including those of the Kennedy Center, Boston Symphony Hall, the Wang Center, St. Paul’s Cathedral in New York City, the National Cathedral, Spivey Hall in Atlanta, the Yale Center for British Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Naples Philharmonia Center, Tanglewood, and the Otaru Festival in Japan.

The Paramount Brass has shared the stage with distinguished artists such as Janos Starker, the Bartok Quartet, and the National Symphony Orchestra. The ensemble has also conducted teaching residencies at major conservatories and universities throughout the United States and Japan. Additionally, from 1993-1997, the Paramount Brass held the post of ‘Faculty Quintet in Residence’ at the Boston Conservatory of Music where they pioneered a rigorous brass chamber music program.

The Paramount Brass has released “Tapestry – Music of Baroque Masters” (1997) and “Shepherd’s Hey – Music of the British Isles” (2000) to critical acclaim on the Centaur label.
